What is botox

The most effective non-surgical treatment for dynamic facial wrinkles

Botox is the most effective treatment for dynamic facial wrinkles, that is, wrinkles created by ordinary expressions such as laughing, frowning, anger and others. The muscle spasms that occur at the moment of expression have the effect of causing fine or deeper wrinkles in the skin, which affect its youth and radiance.

Botox addresses the root of the problem, as it has the ability to block the movement of muscles (dermal or mimic muscles) and therefore prevent the appearance of wrinkles in the overlying skin. It is a treatment based on the injection of a special neurotoxin, the so-called botulinum toxin type A or botulinum toxin, which is absolutely safe for the body if it performed by a qualified doctor in the correct dosage. Although the result is spectacular, it does not radically change the appearance of your face. The muscles simply relax, so you can still smile, frown or look surprised and the skin is prevented from creasing!

Steps

BOTOX

Step 1

The first step is a consultation with the qualified doctor regarding your wish. During this initial meeting, the doctor will review your medical history, assess your condition, type of your skin, your age and expectations, and determine a personalized suitable treatment option for you.

Step 2

The doctor will ask you to make certain expressions (smile, surprise, anger, and frown) and marks on the skin of your face with a special pencil the places where the injections will be made. At this stage, the Botox units that will be needed for an excellent result are determined.

Step 3

Within 5-10 minutes, the doctor completes the microinjections at the predetermined points with a special technique that makes the application painless. However, if you wish, a cold compress or numbing cream can be administered locally to the treatment area.

Step 4

At the end, the next appointment is rescheduled after 14 to 20 days, when the full effect of the treatment will be visible, in order to assess whether certain points need strengthening (retouch).
