PRP is performed with the technique of microinjections, just like mesotherapy, or injections, or with a Dermapen, or with a mesotherapy gun. It is essentially a type of mesotherapy, as it takes its name from the intermediate layer of the skin (dermis), on which it is applied. However, the important difference and at the same time the great benefit of PRP treatment is that it is autologous, i.e. it comes from the patient’s own blood and does not include foreign substances such as vitamins, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, etc.
PRP is obtained after blood collection and special treatment of the blood through the process of centrifugation in order to separate its components. From this separation, only the plasma is collected, which has a 2 to 6 times higher concentration of platelets through this process. Platelets contain, among other things, growth factors, which are distinguished for their healing, regenerating and regenerative properties.
By injecting PRP into the treatment area, a strong anti- aging effect is achieved, as the growth factors offer enhanced hydration, reconstruction and tissue regeneration. The face looks fuller, smoother and firmer, the signs of acne and photoaging disappear, and the skin becomes more elastic, bright and youthful.
