What are peelings?

Peelings are exfoliating substances used in Aesthetic Medicine to remove part of the layers of the skin in order to renew it.

They contribute decisively to anti-aging and can be combined with a wide range of treatments (mesotherapy, fillers, botulinum toxin, etc.)

There are three categories of superficial, medium-depth and deep peelings, depending on how deeply they penetrate the layers of the skin.

There are superficial peels, which are the most frequently used, the most popular are α-hydroxy-acids, also known as fruit acids (glycolic, citric, lactic, mandelic tartaric, etc.).

Cost of Treatment: from 30€

Peelings

Peelings with fruit acids are indicated for all ages, dealing with problems of acne, oiliness, dullness and slight discolouration.

We usually start the application with low-concentration acids and continue to increase it, after an individual assessment of the patient has preceded. On average, 4 to 8 sessions are needed to complete a treatment, usually every 15 days, depending on the type of skin and the damage we are called to deal with.

It is encouraging that their use does not lead to visible peeling and one can return to their activities after the treatment with little or no redness which, if present, lasts for a day at most.

It is necessary to use sun protection with a high sun protection factor as well as to avoid exposure of the skin to the sun.
